Steps to Getting Fares and Passes

One-way bus fares must be paid upon boarding the bus. Exact change is required.
For Light Rail and Metro Subway, one-way or round trip tickets must be purchased
from ticket vending machines located in rail stations. Bills in the denomination
of $1, $5, $10 and $20 and major credit cards are accepted by ticket vending machines.

Customers may purchase a Day Pass from any bus operator or from any Light Rail
or Metro Subway ticket vending machine which allows unlimited travel from the time
of purchase until 3 AM the following day.

Weekly and Monthly passes are also available from Light Rail and Metro Subway ticket
vending machines, the MTA Transit Store located at 6 St. Paul Street in downtown Baltimore
and many pass sales outlets.  To see a list of pass sales outlets, click
