Grand Prix of Baltimore 2012

MTA Grand Prix Transit Guide
General Info:
- MTA Metro Subway service will not be affected. (Exit at Charles Center Station West)
- Transit Information Contact Center will be open September 1st and 2nd 6:00 a.m.- 11:00 p.m.
- MTA Transit Team reports August 31st-September 2nd.
- Customer Service Transit Ambassadors will be stationed at key locations throughout the system.

MTA Grand Prix Diversion Plan for Local Bus
- The following local bus routes will be diverted Monday, August 27th at 3:00 a.m. until Tuesday, September 4th at 3:00 a.m. 3, 3x.
- The following local bus routes will be diverted Wednesday, August 29th at 3:00 a.m. until Tuesday, September 4th at 3:00 a.m. 1, 7, 8, 10, 11, 14, 17, 19, 23, 27, 30, 35, 36, 46, 61, 64, 120, and 160.
MTA Grand Prix Shutdown Plan for Light Rail:
-
On Wednesday, August 29, Light Rail will operate a regular schedule through Downtown until 1 hour after the Orioles Baseball Game. The Light Rail Shuttle Bus will then begin to operate between Patapsco Ave and North Ave stops until Light Rail closes.
- On Thursday, August 30, Light Rail will operate as follows:
Southbound Service: Trains will terminate at the Baltimore Street stop. Please board Light Rail Shuttle Bus to continue southbound.
Northbound Service: Trains will operate to the Camden Yards stop until 1 hour after the Orioles Baseball Game. Trains after that time will stop at the Hamburg Street stop. Please board Light Rail Shuttle Bus to continue northbound.
- On Friday, August 31, through Sunday, September 2, Light Rail will operate as follows:
Southbound Service: Trains will terminate at the Baltimore Street stop. Please board Light Rail Shuttle Bus to continue southbound.
Northbound service: Trains will terminate at the Hamburg Street stop. Please board Light Rail Shuttle Bus to continue northbound.
- On Monday, September 3 (Labor Day), Light Rail will operate extended holiday service from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
During the Grand Prix:
· Free shuttle between Penn Station and Mt. Royal stops
· Free shuttle between Baltimore Street and Hamburg Street stops
· Special Light Rail Hours:
Thursday, August 30 – Sunday, September 2 : 6:00 a.m. – 11:00p.m. or 1 hour after the Orioles game on Thursday, August 30
Monday, September 3: 11:00 a.m. – 11:00p.m.
MTA Grand Prix Diversion Plan for Mobility
- Due to the expected overflow of traffic and road closures, mobility customers are advised to plan ahead and expect significant delays during the Grand Prix of Baltimore.
