New On-Line Features for CharmCard Users

With an online account, its already easy to add value and passes, view your card balance and usage history, manage associated cards, and register new cards. We are pleased to offer CharmCard® users the following new online card management features!

Now, it’s more convenient to report a lost/stolen or damaged card, transfer the remaining balance to your replacement card and reset passwords through your online account. It's all available online and there is no need to call the customer service center if your card is lost/stolen, or damaged or you need to replace it.  Simply log on to your account, select which card has been lost/stolen or damaged, and use the links on the right side of the page to report your card lost/stolen or damaged and select what you would like to do with the balance remaining on your card.

Once you complete the request process online, you will receive an email notifying you when the transferred balance or fare product is ready to be loaded to your new/existing card. You may also check on the status of the transfer by visiting your Account Summary. To load the value to your card, simply touch the card to the target on a MTA Metro faregate, MTA local Bus farebox, or MTA Ticket Vending Machine; or in Washington, D.C on a  Metrorail Faregate, Farecards and Passes machine, or a WMATA local bus farebox.  Remember, transferring a balance to a replacement card may take several business days, as all pending transactions must be verified and processed.

If you forget your password, simply click on the “Forgot your User Name or Password” link which is located on the Account Log In Page, answer the security questions, and the system will send you an e-mail with your username or a link to reset your forgotten password.
