GOVERNOR O’MALLEY TO UNVEIL NEW “GREEN” LOCOMOTIVES 
TO POWER MARYLAND’S 
MARC COMMUTER RAIL SYSTEM

First Locomotive to Be Named for Notable Maryland Citizen

ANNAPOLIS, MD (May 5, 2009)
– Governor Martin O’Malley will announce the arrival of the first of more than two dozen 
environmentally-friendly locomotives that will power Maryland’s MARC Commuter Rail system for decades to come.

WHAT:           Governor O’Malley will arrive at MARC’s Camden Station aboard the first of the commuter railroad’s 
new “green” locomotives. The locomotive used will carry the name of a notable Maryland citizen.

WHEN:           TOMORROW, Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 1:00 p.m.

WHERE:         MARC Camden Station
                        301 West Camden Street (adjacent to Oriole Park at Camden Yards)
                        Baltimore, MD

From I-95:

 ·        Take Exit 53 / I-395 toward downtown Baltimore

 ·        Follow I-395 until it ends at the first traffic light.

 ·        Turn Left into the Camden Yards sports complex
