To calculate the cost of multi-ride tickets and reduced fares, click your one-way zone from the appropriate fare chart.  

Tickets purchased for travel in February and thereafter that involves a destination to or from a West Virginia stops (Martinsburg,
Duffields, and Harpers Ferry) will be assessed a surcharge as follows: An additional $2.00 for a one-way ticket ($1.00 Sr. /Dis.),
$20.00 for a weekly ticket, and $80.00 for a monthly ticket ($40.00 Sr. /Dis.) The charges are in addition to the fares listed in the
MARC fare or conversion charts.  Note: Surcharge fares are not discounted for passengers using the Student Advantage card
for West Virginia travel.

Discounted Fares 

Seniors and People with Disabilities

Senior citizens (65 and older) must show one of the following:

• Valid MTA Senior photo ID card
• Valid government-issued photo ID showing date of birth, or
• Valid Medicare card and any valid government-issued photo ID

Persons with disabilities must show one of the following:

• Valid MTA Disability photo ID card,
• Valid disability ID from another transit agency and any valid government issued photo ID, or
• Valid Medicare card and any valid government-issued photo ID.
• Medicare Cardholders must show a valid Medicare card and any valid government-issued photo ID. 

 Qualifying customers must keep one of the above in their possession at all times while boarding and riding MTA services and when
purchasing reduced fares.  Additionally, one of the above must be presented on demand to MTA Police officers, fare inspectors, bus
operators, Metro Subway station managers and other MTA officials.

College Students
Go to college on MARC Train for 15% less with the Student Advantage Card for more information.
*Note: This discount does not apply on travel to/from West Virginia (Martinsburg, Duffield's, or Harpers Ferry).

Children
Children under the age of six may ride free with any passenger paying the full fare (limit of two children per full fare passenger).
Additional children will be charged the appropriate full fare.

Groups
Groups between 10 and 25 passengers qualify for a group rate.Groups must call the MARC Group Sales Desk at 410-454-7010
between the hours of 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM, Monday through Friday at least two weeks prior to the date of travel. Tickets must
be paid for in advance with credit card only.  Group tickets are not issued at MARC or Amtrak ticket locations without confirmation
through the MARC Group Sales Desk.Group travel may be excluded from rush hour trains due to limited seating capacity.
