MARC Ticket Policy Advisory

Effective November 2, 2009, there will be a $3.00 surcharge for tickets purchased on the train when boarding at a station with a ticket vending machine.

To avoid the surcharge, purchase tickets with a credit or debit card at the ticket vending machine inside the station, or purchase tickets with cash at any Amtrak ticket office or the following MARC Stations: Odenton Station, Brunswick Station, or Frederick Station.  Tickets can also be purchased from the Commuter Direct stores in Virginia (703-228-7433 or www.commuterdirect.com).

Passengers are reminded that bills larger than $20 are not accepted for single fares purchased on the train. Passengers presenting bills larger than $20 will be asked to leave the train at the next station that has a ticket vending machine or ticket agent and purchase ticket.
