Penn Line Train delays
Update #7 (5:25pm) - Train 443 has departed Baltimore 25 minutes late.
Update #6 (5:10pm) - The following trains are experiencing delays or service modifications:
- Train 443 (4:50pm departure from Penn Station) is still in Baltimore, currently 20 minutes late due to congestion.
- Train 634 (4:40pm departure from Union Station) is still in Washington due to the late arrival of equipment, it should depart within the next 5-10 minutes
- Train 436 (5:10pm departure from Union Station) will make all stops between Washington and Baltimore tonight due to overcrowded conditions in Union Station.
Trains will continue to experience 10-15 minute delays in the area of Penn Station due to the ongoing switch and signal problems.
Update #5 (4:30pm) - All trains are back on the move. Penn Line trains may experience 10-15 minute delays in the area of Penn Station for the rest of the afternoon due to ongoing repairs to the switch and signal system. Passengers from Train 435 have transferred to other MARC trains to reach their destinations.
Update #4 (4:08pm) - Trains are begining to move through Penn Station. Train 537 (3:20pm departure from Penn) has departed Baltimore. Train 435 should be moving soon. Today only, Train 537 will make a stop at Odenton.
Update #3 (3:52pm) - Trains continue to hold in Penn Station. Train 435 is now 80 minutes late and Train 537 is 30 minutes late. Again, a maintainer is en route to repair the switch and signal problem. Updates will continue to be provided.
Update #2 (3:30pm) - Train continues to hold in Baltimore due to ongoing switch and signal problems, now one hour late. Amtrak has notified us that a maintainer is en route to repair the problem. Updates will continue to be provided.
Update #1 (3:00pm) - Train is still in Baltimore due to ongoing switch and signal problems, now 25 minutes late. We will continue to provide updates as we receive them.
Train 435 (2:35pm departure from Penn Station) is still in Baltimore due to signal problems, currently 15 minutes late.
