MARC Passenger reimbursements for Nov. 19 service disruption

We sincerely regret the inconvenience that Penn Line passengers experienced this evening.  Just before 7:00pm, an Amtrak train derailed in the tunnel south of Baltimore Penn Station, stopping all rail traffic between Washington and Baltimore.

Any passengers that utilized a taxi to complete their journey may submit their receipts to the MTA for reimbursement.  You may do this one of two ways:

  1. **Easier/quicker method**  Turn your receipt into the MARC Information Desk inside Gate B at Washington Union Station.  PLEASE be sure to include your name, full mailing address, phone number, and email address with your receipt.
  2. Mail your taxi receipt, also will your personal information as listed above to:  MARC Train Service, 1515 Washington Boulevard, Baltimore, MD 21224. 

Once again, we thank you for your understanding given this sudden, unexpected service disruption.  As information, we are happy to report that there were no injuries to the employees or passengers on the derailed Amtrak train.
