March 17 marks the one-year anniversary of the launch of MTA’s new radio station WTTZ-FM 93.5, which joins MTA’s other station WMVK-FM 107.3 in Perryville. WTTZ-FM 93.5, already playing in all Metro and Light Rail stations, can now be heard in all Maryland MARC Train stations as well. WTTZ-FM 93.5 FM and WMVK-FM 107.3, both featuring smooth jazz formats, are the only area stations in the market that provides frequent transit and traffic reports that include buses, trains and BWI delays.
“Now all MARC Train riders waiting in stations can now hear important news affecting their commute in real time – and at the same time it is sent out as a service advisory,” said MTA Administrator Paul Comfort. “This expansion of communications to our customers throughout Maryland’s MARC stations supports our statewide reach and our commitment to supply safe, efficient, reliable transit with world-class customer service.”
