Starting on Friday, October 6th at 6pm until Monday, October 9th at 4am, MDOT MTA will partially shut down Light RailLink service between the North Avenue and Camden Yards stops in both directions. Light RailLink service to Penn Station will also be closed.
MDOT MTA is doing everything it can to minimize the inconvenience customer will experience during these necessary repairs on the Light RailLink system by providing a "Bus Bridge" along the entire length of the closed sections. Shuttle buses will stop at each of the affected stations in both directions from North Avenue to Camden Yards. A separate service will provide a shuttle linking Penn Station to the North Avenue Light RailLink stop.
MDOT MTA asks customers to plan for up to an additional hour of travel time in both directions. The free shuttle bus service will run at 10, 20 and 30-minute intervals based on the time of day with transit ambassadors at each location helping passengers locate the shuttle bus boarding areas, including the shuttle linking Penn Station/Mt. Royal at North Avenue Light RailLink stop.
How To Use The Bus Bridge
Bus Bridge: If you regularly board at any of the closed stations in between North Avenue and Camden Yards...
Exit at North Avenue or Camden Yards Station and proceed to the designated Shuttle bus stop. Locate a “Transit Ambassador” who will help you locate the Bus Bridge boarding location. Board the next available Shuttle Bus and be transported by way of stopping at Cultural Center, Centre Street, Lexington Market, Royal Farms/Baltimore and Convention Center.
NOTE - There is no stop made at Mt. Royal on the Northbound Shuttle and no stop is made at the Convention Center on the Southbound Shuttle.
Penn Station/Mt. Royal Shuttle: If you regularly travel to/from Penn Station on MDOT MTA Light RailLink...
Exit MDOT MTA Light RailLink Train at North Avenue Station and proceed to designated Shuttle bus stop. Locate a “Transit Ambassador” who will help you locate the Bus Bridge boarding location. Board the next available Penn Station/Mt. Royal Shuttle Bus and be taken directly to North Avenue, Penn Station, or Mt. Royal.
