BALTIMORE, MD (August 6, 2024) – The Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration will replace a section of rail in downtown Baltimore on August 10 and 11, 2024. “This track replacement project is an investment in the long-term quality of our system and onboard experience,” said Maryland Transit Administrator Holly Arnold. “We thank our riders for their patience as we undertake this essential work.”
This project is part of the agency’s efforts to maintain the light rail system so that riders experience a smoother and more reliable ride. Construction will begin on Saturday, August 10 at 5:00 a.m. and the stops will reopen on Monday, August 12 at 5:00 a.m. The shuttle buses will operate approximately every 20 minutes.
