In 2025, MTA's Earth Day Art Contest once again invited young artists from across Maryland to showcase how public transit supports a cleaner, greener future. The selected designs were transformed into vibrant bus wraps, turning MTA buses into moving works of art that inspire communities to make sustainable choices every day.

Last year's talented finalists represented the creativity and passion of youth across the state:

Eloise Holman Nall, 14, Baltimore"Cherry Blossom Commute"
Lucille Shellhammer, 9, Nottingham"Save Our Beautiful Bay"
Katherine Truong, 15, Silver Spring "Riding Towards a Greener Future"
Alexis Bowers, 9, Clinton"The Road to Green!"
Madison Carter, 8, Fort Washington"Healthy Environment"
Nora Mercelis, 8, Baltimore "Happy Bus Ride"

Since their unveiling, these buses have traveled throughout the state, reminding Marylanders that protecting our planet is a daily choice. Whether by riding transit, reducing waste, or conserving energy, small actions can create a big impact.
