Washington Metrorail has announced the closure of several Red Line stations, including Silver Spring, this summer. This closure WILL NOT impact MARC Brunswick Line service - all trains will continue to operate as scheduled and stop at Silver Spring MARC station. MARC is preparing to welcome WMATA riders affected by the closure at Kensington and Silver Spring stations - more detailed information will be announced at a later date.

Passengers should note that pedestrian access to the Silver Spring MARC station may change throughout the Purple Line construction, but we will ensure there is sufficient wayfinding to direct riders. As always, if anything changes, we will notify our customers via our website and this service alert system.
