Description:

Due to rapidly deteriorating road conditions caused by the winter storm, including icy and snow-covered roadways, the Maryland Transit Administration has announced the suspension of all Local bus service beginning at 8:00 p.m. Sunday January 25. The decision was made to protect the safety of riders and employees as conditions have become unsafe for bus operations.

Service on the CityLink routes on,y is expected to resume at 8:00 a.m. on Monday January 26, 2026. The agency will continue to coordinate with local jurisdictions including Baltimore City and Baltimore, Howard, and Anne Arundel counties as crews work to clear and treat roadways. We will resume bus operations only when the roads are safe for buses to travel on.

As the storm progresses, riders are urged to avoid non-essential travel. If you have to travel, please dress warmly, allow extra time and monitor the agency's service alerts www.mta.maryland.gov/service-alerts and on social media @mtamaryland for the most up-to-date service information.
