Description:

Repairs have been made to the Amtrak overhead wires near Bowie State University station. Trains are beginning to move, but at reduced speed and there is significant train congestion, both Amtrak and MARC Trains.

Two MARC trains will be departing Washington within the next 20 to 30 minutes, both making all stops to Perryville. Passengers on these trains should note that the train will make two stops at New Carrollton, Seabrook, and Bowie State stations due to crowded conditions on the train and short platforms. Please listen carefully to all announcements from the train crew.

After those two trains, the following trains will be the remainder of service today and will likely be delayed: Train 544 (6:27pm), Train 448 (8:05pm), Train 548 (9:10pm), and Train 454 (10:05pm).

A MARC Train will depart Penn Station at approximately 5:50pm making all stops to Washington. The next departure after that will be Train 455 at 8:45pm.
