PEPCO has notified MARC Train that power will not be restored at Silver Spring until late this evening. The overhead walkway and elevators will remain out of service for this afternoon's trains. Passengers are encouraged to use an alternative route to access the platform and passengers who cannot walk up or down stairs should ride Washington Metrorail to Union Station or board at Kensington Station. The public address system will also not be working. Service alerts will be sent for any trains boarding on the opposite track and for train delays.
